In order to score more goals, it is vital to set realistic and sustainable training goals.
The estimation and monitoring of these goals can be done in our Goals modules. We have two modules, each with their own purpose:
In order to achieve sustainable growth with your player it is important to balance between the points of overload (leading to injuries) and underload (no effective improvement). In order to monitor and steer this we use the acute versus chronic load theorem, to make sure each player trains within the sweet spot.
This theorem is developed by Tim Gabbet and he has shown that this sweetspot of training lies between 80% and 130% (of the ratio of acute versus chronic load).
The JOHAN Sports Weekly Goals module automatically calculates these sweet spot values for all the player in your team and provides a user friendly way to monitor them.
The training goals are automatically estimated by the individual benchmarks for each exercise in the training. In this module a clear overview is given over which players have achieved their training goals or not. A player can be selected to investigate at which exercises a player has succeeded or failed to achieve his goal.
